Who we are:
Troy Planning + Design is a professional planning consultancy specialising in strategic and community planning and urban design, working on a wide range of public and private sector planning, development, and design related assignments across the UK and the USA.
Our clients include local authorities in London and the South East of England, Neighbourhood Planning groups, community groups, developers and land owners.
As a young and growing company our future is being built around a team of the very best people. The opportunity to offer internships is a great way for us to achieve that, giving graduates a valuable introduction to our industry and our own company culture.
We are interested in offering a three month internship to a graduate who has completed their graduate studies in planning or urban design. Following the initial three month internship there will be a review and a potential opportunity to extend the internship or offer permanent employment as a Graduate Planner with the company.
We believe strongly in giving junior members of the team the training, responsibility and opportunities they need to develop, and our bespoke business of 10 staff means that all of our team are exposed to a wide variety of interesting project work and clients.
Who you are:
You will be a self starter, love working in a small hard working team in a consultancy and have a passion for urban planning and urban design and its challenges.
Specific skills and experience:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong numeracy and analysis skills, preferably with experience of using spreadsheets.
- Experience of using Microsoft Office, in particular Excel and Word.
- A recently completed graduate degree in planning or urban design.
If you are excited about this opportunity, please email a CV and a covering letter explaining why you believe you would be a great candidate for Troy Planning + Design to firstname.lastname@example.org by 18:00 on Wednesday 12th July 2017.
