Troy Planning + Design is delighted that the Chalfont St Giles Neighbourhood Plan was successful at referendum in June, with 92% voting in favour of making the Plan based on a turnout of 22%: both excellent figures.
Troy Planning + Design has been providing support to the Parish Council through the plan-making process. The Plan includes policies that support the provision of rural exception sites in the Green Belt and new housing development in the existing built-up area where it provides for the maximum amount of affordable housing. It also provides design guidance for new housing, establishes Local Green Space Designations, policies with regard to community facilities, and the mix of uses in Local Centres.
The Examiners Report of the Plan had said that it “provides a strong practical framework against which decisions on development can be made”.
The referendum is a continuation of our success in providing Neighbourhood Planning support to Town and Parish Councils, as well as to Forums. If you would like to find out more please see our regular Neighbourhood Planning Newsletters.
