We are pleased to report that the Soho and Fitzrovia West Neighbourhood Plans were both formally made by Westminster City Council on 8 October, becoming part of the development plan. We supported at the submission and examination stages, preparing the Basic Conditions Statements, helping respond to clarifications from the Examiner and reviewing Statements of Common Ground with the City Council.
Both are diverse, dynamic areas with competing interests, which the Plans seek to balance, reflecting the views of residents and businesses, whilst strengthening their unique cultural offer in the centre of London. Both were strongly supported at Referendum and represent an excellent example of community-led planning in a highly urban context.
