We are proud to support Pride in June and during the Pride events being held in London and Amsterdam in July-August by altering our logo using the backdrop of the Progress Pride Flag.
We believe that everyone should have the freedom to be themselves and be proud of who they are, celebrating that we are all diverse in relation to our sexual orientation, gender identity and ethnicity.
To embrace diversity and inclusivity, it is essential that we celebrate the work of LGBTQ+ people, educate ourselves on LGBTQ+ history and raise awareness of issues affecting the LGBTQ+ community.
As urban planners and urban designers we play an important role in helping shape our cities and towns to become more inclusive places for all of society. There is reason to celebrate the progress that has been made however we believe the profession still has a long way to go in terms of inclusivity and diversity within the plan-making, decision-making and engagement processes, and ultimately how places are designed.
We are dedicated to challenging and disrupting the norms and status quo in the planning and design process to find solutions for creating more equitable processes and outcomes for the places we work and within our organisation.
