Troy Planning + Design is a growing urban planning & urban design consultancy with offices in Amsterdam, London and Portland, Oregon. We make sustainable and inclusive plans for cities, towns, villages and neighbourhoods.
We are looking for an Urban Design Intern to join our team based in our Amsterdam office near Museumplein. Tasks will cover a multitude of disciplines including Architecture, Urban Design, Urban Planning and Graphic Design.

Requirements:
- You are a currently enrolled architecture student or urban design student with a passion for the urban environment and making a positive impact on places and communities.
- It is expected that the intern has an understanding of form and function and can express ideas through graphics in several ways and at multiple scales including site, street and neighbourhood-wide scales.
- Expert knowledge and experience using Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop.
- Minimum experience of 2D drawings and 3D modelling (experience with Rhino would be a bonus)
- Some mapping and / or GIS experience would be a bonus
- You are hands on and have a can-do mentality and always look for opportunities.
- Fluency in English both writing and speaking. Dutch language would be a bonus.
Types of projects you will be involved in:
- Design Codes
- Town Centre Visions and Strategies
- Masterplans for new developments, including feasibility studies
- Technical architectural drawings for developments.
