When she is not working on development design schemes, visions, and design codes, Genevieve enjoys producing mixed media artwork in her art ‘garage/studio’. She currently focuses on linocut, wood engraving, sculpture, and printmaking, but hopes to develop her animation and digital media skills to combine them with her handiwork in 2023! Watch this space…
She was recently blown away by the South African artist William Kentridge’s exhibition at the Royal Academy, inspired by his use of animated films (filming his drawing sequences) to portray political events in the 1990s. She was particularly impressed by his prints, tapestries, and his unique ability to communicate storytelling of cultural heritage through a mix of aural and visual artistic media.
