Our Director, Jon Herbert, spoke at the Urban Design Learning (formerly Urban Design London) conference in September which had a focus on policy and plan writing. Jon’s presentation discussed the fundamental importance of ‘place’ and how we craft locally-specific policies in local and neighbourhood plans that influence quality of life and design. Telling the story of the locality and communicating this through use of good visuals and illustrations will help convey the ambitions and how we can ‘plan for better’.
