We are pleased to confirm that the Victoria Neighbourhood Plan has been approved at referendum, with both residents and business rate payers voting Yes. This is an important milestone for the Victoria Neighbourhood Forum and the local community.
Once it is formally adopted by Westminster City Council, the Plan will become part of the statutory development plan for Westminster. It will guide planning decisions and help shape future growth and investment in this important part of central London.
A Vision for the Area
Victoria is a diverse and active neighbourhood in the historic centre of Westminster. It includes major transport connections, homes, offices, cultural venues and heritage sites. The Neighbourhood Plan sets out a clear vision for a greener, safer and more inclusive Victoria. Key aims include:
- Improving Victoria Street as a high quality green avenue
- Enhancing public spaces
- Strengthening walking and cycling routes
- Promoting sustainable design and biodiversity
- Supporting resilience to climate change
- Encouraging cultural projects and community facilities
Ongoing Projects
The Forum is also progressing wider initiatives, including the greening of Victoria Street and improvements to the public realm. These projects will support a healthier and more welcoming environment for residents, workers and visitors.
Our Role
Troy Planning + Design is proud to have supported the Forum at every stage of the process, from early engagement through to drafting the Plan and helping to guide it through examination and referendum. Congratulations to everyone involved in creating a strong and forward looking vision for Victoria.
