We are delighted to welcome Sam to Troy Planning + Design.
Sam is a Chartered Planner with extensive private sector planning consultancy experience across a wide range of development projects. His experience includes advising developers, land promoters and local planning authorities, with work spanning strategic housing sites, commercial development, student accommodation, brownfield regeneration, mixed-use proposals and Local Plan promotion.
At Troy Planning + Design, Sam will support our work across strategic planning, development management, infrastructure planning, neighbourhood planning and design-led projects. His role includes research, spatial analysis, mapping, drafting planning documents, preparing representations, and supporting stakeholder and community engagement.
Sam brings particular expertise in development management matters, including planning applications, pre-application advice, site appraisals, planning representations and the assessment of development proposals. He also has strong experience in strategic site promotion, Local Plan representations, neighbourhood plans and local plan examinations.
His understanding of both strategic planning and development management allows him to provide clear, practical advice on the opportunities and constraints affecting development proposals, including infrastructure, highways, environmental constraints, stakeholder engagement and community issues.
Outside work, Sam is a keen football fan and enjoys cooking.
