London Victoria Neighbourhood Plan

By May 6, 2024May 10th, 2024No Comments

We have run a series of exciting consultation and engagement events over the past few months, supporting the Victoria Neighbourhood Forum in central London to prepare a Neighbourhood Plan for the area. The area is best known for its bustling commercial activity, with the hub of Victoria Station and Victoria Street which leads to Parliament. It is also home to many engaged residents and, with its mix of rich history and new development is a highly dynamic and diverse area.

To glean meaningful insights and feedback on the proposed neighbourhood plan vision and ideas, we engaged the local community by holding a series of events from exhibitions, breakfast briefings, online surveys and community workshops. Using a diverse range of tools, we facilitated a wider cross section of opinions from all members of the local community from business owners, residents, tourists and workers . We believe it is critical to gather insights from every age group, which is why we implemented a poster competition at local primary schools to help raise awareness of the Neighbourhood Plan and seek the views and ideas of younger members of the community.

We based our consultation material around a series of novel propositions for the area, framed as ‘postcards from the future’, to help ignite the imagination and generate debate and discussion. We displayed these in St. James’s Park tube station and talked to many interested travellers about their thoughts on future proposals.
